North Charleston school taken off lockdown following police activity

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A North Charleston elementary school was on lockdown Monday afternoon because of police activity in the area.

Charleston County school officials say Dunston Elementary School issued a "code yellow," which means school administrators were on high alert as far as who came in and out of the school.

North Charleston officers say that police activity was at a nearby mobile home site.  Police say someone was trying to hurt themselves.
