LADSON, SC (WCSC) - A Summerville teen is facing vandalism charges after deputies say he painted threatening messages on vehicles, a front door, and driveways in front of nine different homes in a Ladson neighborhood early Wednesday.

Dorchester County Sheriff's Office deputies say Brian Anthony Miceli, 19, wrote threatening messages stating, "LEAVE OR DIE, WE ALWAYS WATCH YOU," on homes in the Avenue of the Oaks neighborhood. Seven of the reported incidents occurred on Hickory Lane, and the other two happened on North Cardinal Drive.

Deputies say Miceli was caught with the same white paint he used to write the threatening graffiti shortly after deputies arrived on scene around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Along with the messages, several reports indicate the white paint was also splashed all over the windshield of some of the vehicles.

According to an incident report, Miceli lives in Summerville but was in the neighborhood taking care of a cousin's children. Deputies found the white paint in the trash can of that residence.

Miceli's cousin told deputies that while Miceli was acting normal when she left him with the kids, he seemed to be under the influence of a narcotic when she returned.  The cousin also was able to recover a black sweatshirt covered with white paint from inside her home.  Residents had reported seeing Miceli wearing the black sweatshirt as he damaged their property.

Miceli was arrested at the scene and taken to jail for processing.  He is charged with nine counts of destruction of private property.
