New mobile technology enables fans to order concessions via their smart phones
Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) September 12, 2012
Amon G. Carter stadium, home of the TCU Horned Frogs football team, has partnered with Bypass Mobile to offer fans the opportunity to order concessions straight from the comfort of their seats. Bypass is a convenient and simple solution that allows fans to order and pay for concessions on their smartphones, so they can skip the line, not the game.
TCU recently completed a $164 million rebuild of Amon G. Carter Stadium to better enhance football fans' experience and upgrade amenities including the installation of Bypass.
The innovative technology went live on Saturday the 8th during the Grambling game to great reviews. It will be available in twelve different locations throughout the venue. Accessible through the TCU App, fans can view the full food and drink menus of concessions stands within the vicinity of their seats, place and pay for their order without ever leaving their seat or waiting in a concession line. A text message is sent to the fan when their order is ready for pickup from the nearest Bypass Lane, helping them get back to their seat in short order.
“We're very excited and proud of our new partnership with Bypass Mobile,” TCU director of intercollegiate athletics Chris Del Conte said. “It will enable us to further enhance the fan experience at the new Amon G. Carter Stadium. Being able to order and pay for your food and beverage directly from your seat is a terrific game-day feature that coincides perfectly with our new era of Horned Frogs football.”
Bypass currently works with sports teams in the NCAA, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS, and MILB. Within the NCAA market, they work with programs including Stanford University, the University of North Carolina, the University of Texas, Siena College, and the University of Georgia.
“Bypass and TCU both believe fan experience is vital to enjoy a football game,” said Bypass Lane President Brandon Lloyd said. “We are glad to expand our presence in the DFW area beyond the professional arena and allow Horned Frog fans to skip the line and not the game.”
Bypass is already available in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex at Rangers, Stars, and Mavericks games. Download the app once at http://www.bypasslane.com to use at all DFW venues.
