ORANGEBURG, SC (WCSC) -

One man was arrested another is wanted after deputies discovered a meth lab at a home on Alexis Road in Orangeburg County Wednesday.

The Orangeburg Sheriff's Office was called out to the home on Alexis Road after they were informed that two people were cooking meth at the location. When deputies arrived at the home, they were able to smell a strong odor and saw items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Deputies arrested 41-year-old Gerald Nathan Thomas for outstanding warrants. When authorities questioned Thomas about meth being in the home he told deputies that he was not sure.

Thomas requested that officers get a pack of cigarettes from a bedroom in the home so he could smoke. Inside the cigarette pack, deputies located a blue zip lock bag containing a substance believed to be meth.

Authorities are also looking for 42-year-old Shelly Thomas Faulling wanted for cooking meth at the home. Sheriff's deputies say Faulling was not at the scene when they arrived.

Anyone with information about Faulling's whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 803-534-3550 or CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
