Firefighters put out blaze after vehicle fire in West Ashley

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Fire Department was called out to Dogwood Road after a vehicle fire in a West Ashley neighborhood Saturday evening.

Fire officials say the called came in at around 5:22 p.m. after the driver saw smoke coming from their car.

According to authorities, the driver quickly pulled over on the side of the road and got out of the car.

The vehicle caught fire and firefighters were able to quickly put out the blaze.

Authorities say no one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
