CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Republicans in parts of Charleston County will head to the polls on Tuesday for a special election.
Last month, the state supreme court decided to allow a special primary to pick a new candidate for the District 41 seat. The court handed down the decision after a judge ruled that Paul Thurmond did not submit proper paperwork to be on the first ballot.
Candidates who will appear on the ballot are Wally Burbage, Walter Hundley and Paul Thurmond.
Glenn McConnell left the seat vacant after he became lieutenant governor.
