WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Police are investigating a home invasion after a number of items were taken from an apartment in West Ashley early Thursday morning.

According to a Charleston Police Department incident report, three men armed with a handgun entered a unit of the Woodbridge Apartment Homes through the front door and held the two residents inside at gunpoint while they ransacked the place.

Police say the incident happened in the 2000 block of Ashley River Road a little after 1 a.m. The report states the suspects would not allow the victims to leave the apartment until they made off with clothes, a debit card, a cell phone, two Apple computers, an Xbox gaming console, a TV, and cash.

The victims were not able to provide a detailed description of the suspects, according to the report.
