Cops release images of vehicle-burglary suspect

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Charleston police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect wanted in connection with vehicle break-ins near the I-26 overpass last week.

Police say the suspect broke into vehicles along Cottonwood Street, off Montford Avenue, sometime between late Monday and early Tuesday.

According to the incident report, a number of valuables, including a Louis Vuitton purse, an iPhone, and wallets, were taken.

Surveillance video shows a black, male suspect wearing a grey t-shirt, a Florida Marlins baseball cap, what appear to be jean shorts, white socks, and black shoes.

The suspect appears to be of an average height and build.
