MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) -

A Moncks Corner man informed his boss he will return to work after winning $200,000 from a scratch-off lottery ticket.

The man purchased a $10 Green and Gold scratch-off ticket from the Kangaroo Express at 1677 N. Main Street in Summerville. After winning the ticket's top prize, the man informed his boss he will still be remodeling homes after banking the $200,000.

According to the winner, the ticket was just a random buy that happened to pan out in his favor.

"I stopped there on a whim and bought just the one ticket," he said. "It landed right in my lap."

There are still four top prizes remaining in the Green and Gold lottery game. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 624,000.

The Kangaroo Express received $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.
