FOLLY BEACH, SC (WCSC) - Folly Beach's county park could soon re-open. The Charleston County Parks and Recreation says it's applied for a permit to help rebuild the beach there.
The park has been closed since last year after Hurricane Irene did major damage to the beach.
Park officials say they hope to build a new groin which will help build up sand on the beach.
The goal is to re-open the park in June of 2013. But that depends on the status of the permit.
