ANDERSON COUNTY, SC (WYFF) - A 47-year-old man who was visiting with two women says he was pistol whipped and shot in the leg by two armed masked men who burst into the home.

Anderson police were called to the home on Whitehall Road at about noon Monday.

The wounded man told officers that he had been sitting on the couch in the home, and when he said he needed to go, one of the women asked him to stay a little longer. He said after about 10 minutes, one of the women got a phone call and left the house, and immediately after that, the two men with bandannas over their faces came into the home.

The man said the masked men told him to, "Give it up," and then fired a shot into the floor near his feet. He said he told the men his wallet was in his car, and he was trying to get out the front door when one of the men shot him just above the knee.

The man said he was the hit in the head with a pistol three or four times. He said the men stripped off his shorts and told him to walk to the back of the home or they would kill him.

He said he ran out the back door and climbed a fence and then fell.

The man told officers that the two men took his black 2001 Chrysler 300.
