DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Dorchester County Council voted down a law banning shooting near public roads in residential areas of the county on Monday night.

The vote of 4-2 overturns two prior approvals of the law, according to the council's office. Chairman Larry Hargett and Councilman David Chinnis were the two votes in favor of the law.

Councilman George Bailey was absent from the meeting, according to the council office.
