Week 7 of 2012 H.S. Football Season

THURSDAY

Timberland 33  Lake City 0 - Roderick McCray ran for 108 yards and two touchdowns as Timberland moved to 6-1, 2-0 in Region 7-AA on the year with a shutout win. The Wolves got things started early when Austin McKinney blocked a Lake City punt in the first quarter. McCray would score on the ensuing drive to make it 7-0. 

In the 2nd quarter, Lake City was driving for the tying score when McKinney intercepted a pass in the endzone and returned it 109 yards for the touchdown (tying a state record) to make it 13-0. A Matt Gabel to Shamel Williams touchdown pass put Timberland up 20-0 at the half. McCray and Ryan Hood added 2nd half scores to end things at 33-0.

Cane Bay 6, Stratford 28 (Live 5 Game of the Week) - The Knights, who played without starting QB Jacob Park who was injured, improve to 7-0, Cobras fall to 5-2

Carolina Forest 6, Goose Creek 56 - Rico Blanding rushed for 91 yards and 4 TD's for the Gators who move to 7-0. Rashard Alston rushed for 99 yards and a TD and Mike Myers had 2 INT's including 1 he returned for a TD

Battery Creek 6, Woodland 47 - Jari Smith rushed for 203 yards and 3 TD's for Woodland

Ft. Dorchester 10, Summerville 17 - Sawyer Bridges connected with Sean Smith with under a minute to go to get inside the 5 yard line and the Green Wave would punch it in for their 13th straight win over the Patriots. John McKissick gets win #597

Hilton Head 29, James Island 25

Wando 56, West Ashley 35 - The Warriors improve to 7-0 on the year. Christian Hart threw for 279 yards and 3 TD's in the win. West Ashley falls to 1-6. 

Hilton Head Christian 20, Colleton Prep 6

Ashley Ridge 30, Colleton County 7 - Jacob Thompson went 6-7 passing for 172 and a TD and also rushed for 100 yards in the win for Swamp Foxes. The Cougars have lost 30 in a row

Lincoln 0, Baptist Hill 69

Beaufort 10, Bluffton 34

Porter-Gaud 26, Augusta Christian 58

Orangeburg-Wilkinson 63, Stall 6

Palmetto Christian 60, Laurens Academy 6 - JT Waters rushed for 268 yards and 4 TD's for Palmetto Christian

Heathwood Hall 39, Pinewood Prep 19
