MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) -

The Berkeley County Coroner's Office says a 16-year-old was killed after a wreck late Saturday night in Moncks Corner.

Authorities say it happened around 10:20 p.m. when two vehicles traveling on Cooper Store Road crashed into each other.  A small pickup truck ran off the road and struck a tree.

According to the coroner's office, a passenger in the truck, 16-year-old Ryan Driggers of Bonneau, was taken to MUSC where he later died.

Funeral arrangements have been scheduled.  His funeral will be held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Providence Baptist Church and interment will follow in the cemetery.  Family will receive friends at the Dial-Murray Funeral Home in Moncks Corner from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

This accident remains under investigation with the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coroner's Office.
