The Charleston Police Department is looking for a vehicle that struck a bicyclist on James Island last month.

Police say the vehicle is best described as a full-size truck, SUV or van with damage on its passenger side. According to investigators, the vehicle should be missing its passenger side mirror as well.

Authorities say the vehicle struck the bicyclist on Riverland Drive on Sept. 26 at 12:45 a.m.

The victim said he was riding home when he was hit from behind. The victim told officers that the driver never stopped to exchange information or help him.

The vehicle was last seen traveling north on Riverland Drive.
