Reward offered in Rite Aid armed robbery

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Officials are offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for an armed robbery at the West Ashley Rite Aid.

The Charleston Police Department says a man came in the store located at 1934 Ashley River Road around 9 p.m. Monday, approached the pharmacy, showed a handgun, and demanded prescription drugs.

The suspect then stuffed the pills in a white trash bag and took off from the store.

Police were not able to provide a detailed description of the suspect.
