WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

The 16-year-old girl accused of fatally beating another teenage girl will go before a judge this afternoon.

The suspect's identity has yet to be released, but she is charged with one count of murder.

The fight happened last Wednesday around 8 p.m. on Walford Road in Warrensville Heights.

According to witnesses, the victim, identified as Shaakira Dorsey, was teasing the suspect because she passed gas. The teens then started to fight. Witnesses also tell 19 Action News that several adults stood around and watched, including the victim's stepfather.  But by the time he intervened, it was too late.

Dorsey collapsed once the fight was broken up.  EMS rushed her to the hospital, where she died.  The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has not yet released her cause of death.

Dorsey was an 11th grade student at Warrensville Heights High School and a member of the school's softball team.
