Two players from two defending state champions in the Lowcountry highlight 5 players who were selected for the annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas on Wednesday.
Tramel Terry of Goose Creek heads up the area representatives. The Georgia commit has racked up 700 yards of total offense and 12 touchdowns this season helping the Gators get off to a 7-0 start. His teammate, Gerald Turner, was also selected for the game. A South Carolina commit, Turner has been leading the Goose Creek defense with over 30 tackles and 5 sacks this year.
Timberland also had 2 players honored with a selection. Austin McKinney, who tied a state record with a 109 yard interception return for a TD in a win over Lake City last week, will be joined by OL/DL Brian Moore who has started on both sides of the ball for each of his 4 seasons with the Wolves.
Romelo Doctor of Ashley Ridge is the final Lowcountry pick. He's put up solid numbers for the Swamp Foxes again despite a disappointing 2-5 start to the season. Doctor has rushed for over 600 yards and 7 touchdowns on the year.
The 76th annual Shine Bowl of the Carolina's will be played December 15th at Wofford College.
