CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

A man convicted of murder nearly 40 years ago was again denied parole on Thursday.

Reginald Mack shot and killed Joseph Moulof Jr. on Dec. 8 1972 while Moulof was working at Moulof's Liquor Store at the corner of Line and President streets.

Mack also shot at another victim in the store, but the gun misfired. He was released on parole in 1988, but violated his probation in 2008 and was sent back to prison.

Another man, James Alston, was convicted in Moulof's murder, but he died in prison.
