JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Police arrested a woman last week after they say she stole a debit card from the father of her child while she was visiting the home in July.
Amy Lynn Cross, 31, was arrested Friday and charged with credit card fraud, according to the Charleston Police Department.
According to an incident report, Cross was making a weekly scheduled visit to see her child at a home on Darwin Street, off Harbor View Drive, on July 1.
One day later, the father called police and told them he noticed several unauthorized purchases on his account.
The man told police he thought Cross stole the card while she was visiting the child. He also said Cross tried a similar theft and fraud in the past, but he caught her and never told police about that incident.
