RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

The Richland County Sheriff's Department says a traffic stop netted two men, one for a marijuana charge and another wanted on outstanding warrants.

Officials say 32-year-old Travis Pickett has been charged with simple possession of marijuana and for driving with an expired South Carolina tag. Pickett's passenger, 23-year-old Eric Buckner was wanted for failure to pay child support.

Authorities say the pair were pulled over by deputies because deputies spotted expired tags on the car. During the stop, deputies say they smelled marijuana, and Pickett admitted to having the drug in his possession. Officials say he also admitted to swallowing some of the drugs.

Pickett and Buckner were transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. No word if they had a bond hearing.
