New CARTA shuttle service coming to N. Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority will soon offer a new shuttle service that should make getting around North Charleston a little easier.

CARTA officials say the new shuttle will be free to the public and will make stops at several destinations, including: Charleston International Airport, the Boeing plant, the Charleston-Area Convention Center, and nearby shopping and hotels.

The new shuttle service will be funded by Charleston Aviation Authority, Charleston County, and Boeing.

While the planned route has not yet been named, service could start as early as November.
