WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Investigators charged a 25-year-old in connection with a break-in at West Ashley Middle School.

Ace Dominic Blakenship faces a charge of second degree burglary, police say.

The burglary happened around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 30 at the West Ashley Middle School on 1776 William Kennerty Drive.

School officials said they found the teacher's lounge in disarray with several items found in the middle of the hallway. Police say surveillance cameras showed the Blakenship and a second person walking up to the building and pulling on the front door and walking around inside the school.

Court records show charges against the second person were later dismissed.

Nothing was stolen. Police are continuing the investigation.
