Report: Man stabs victim in stomach after argument

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

A 30-year-old Georgetown man was arrested Thursday after police say he stabbed a man following a verbal altercation earlier in the morning.

Deputies with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office say 30-year-old Reginald Funnye went to the victim's home in Green Acres around 11:30 a.m. on October 18. The two men got into an argument, and within a few minutes, things turned physical.

According to a report, Funnye stabbed the victim once in his lower abdomen. When deputies arrived on the scene, Funnye ran.

A report states Funnye was found at 39 Hodge Drive and taken into custody,

Funnye is charged with attempted murder and first degree burglary. He is being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center.
