GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance identifying a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Murrells Inlet.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., one white male suspect entered the Citgo Gas Station, at 3741 Highway 17 Bypass, armed with what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money from the employee.

The suspect then exited through the front door and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect stands approximately 5'6" with a slim build. At the time of the crime, he was wearing blue jeans and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.

No one was injured during the incident.

Anyone that can identify the suspect or has any information about the robbery is asked to call the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at (843) 546-5101.
