CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Investigators have arrested a second suspect accused of an armed robbery and assault in downtown.
The Charleston Police Department has charged 20-year-old Ronald Cornell Bryant with strong armed robbery, second-degree assault and battery and first-degree burglary.
Bryant was arrested on Monday and was locked up at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
Last week, officers arrested 21-year-old Chez Khaliel Hayward who is also charged in the incident.
The incident happened on Oct. 13 at a Norman Street apartment when the victim answered a knock at his front door. Three men then asked him to step outside.
When he refused, authorities say the suspects grabbed the victim, forced him outside and started to kick and punch him.
Police are continuing the investigation.
