WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) -

Two brothers were arrested on drug charges following a police investigation in West Ashley.

The Charleston Police Department charged 25-year-old Anthony J. Stoney with trafficking cocaine and trafficking cocaine base. Authorities also charged 23-year-old Michael Christopher Stoney, who is on probation for a narcotic charge, with possession of cocaine base.

Investigators executed a search warrant at a Shelley Road home on Oct. 18 which led to the brothers' arrests.

A police report states officers confiscated 16.8 grams of cocaine base, 13.9 grams of cocaine and more than $10,000 in cash.

Authorities say the investigation is the result of information provided by concerned citizens.

Police are continuing the investigation.
