DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Deputies arrested a man in the woods near Santee following a chase on Interstate 95 involving a stolen car Thursday morning.

Major John Garrison with the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office said officers apprehended 28-year-old Andres Lavar Fletcher, of Chester, after a K-9 team succesfully tracked him.

Garrison said another man who fled the stolen vehicle has not been apprehended. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Charlotte, NC.

Deputies said they found Fletcher was in possession of marijuana at the time of the arrest. He is charged with failure to stop for a blue light, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and simple possession of marijuana.
