SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) -
Deputies say they are investigating after a man was shot in the head and arm in Summerville on Sunday night.
According to an incident report from the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a home on Linda Lane just after 8 p.m. to find a man bleeding from the left side of his head and from his right arm inside a woman's home.
The woman told deputies she was at her friend's home when they answered a knock at the door to find the man holding a shirt to his head, trying to control bleeding. The victim told her he was at a friend's house around the corner, on Wyatt Lane, when he was shot.
The man told deputies he walked into the mobile home on Wyatt Lane and an 18-year-old and 17-year-old man, along with an unknown man, started shooting at him.
The victim ran out of that home and first ran to Shirley Court before going on to Linda Lane, where the woman let him inside and called authorities.
Deputies said the 20-year-old victim was taken to Medical University of South Carolina for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.
