Cops release picture of St. George robbery suspect

ST. GEORGE, SC (WCSC) - Police have released surveillance of a man wanted for stealing a carton of cigarettes and a beer from a St. George convenience store.

The theft happened at the BP station on West Jim Bilton Boulevard last Monday around 10:15 p.m., according to an incident report.

The clerk told officers the man first acted like he was going to pay for the Natural Light beer and pack of Newport 100's he brought to the counter, but as she was waiting for him to pay, he snatched the cigarettes and beer from her and walked out of the store.

Surveillance shows the a black man with a goatee and mustache wearing a black cap, a red jacket, and a white t-shirt.
