DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Traffic relief is on the way for a busy road in Summerville.
On Wednesday morning, Dorchester County officials will break ground on an improvement project for Bacons Bridge Road.
The plans call for a widening of the road from two lanes to five between Dolphin Drive and Highway 61. The project also calls for adding multi-use paths and replacing bridges.
Work is expected to be completed in September 2015.
The majority of the project was paid for by the county's one-cent sales tax.
