Police look for suspect after N. Charleston armed robbery

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police are investigating an armed robbery which happened at a North Charleston apartment complex Tuesday night.

North Charleston police spokesman Spencer Pryor said officers responded to the 5600 block of Dorchester Road around 8:30 p.m. Upon arrival, a man said he and another victim, who had already left the scene, were sitting in their vehicle in the parking lot of the complex when a man armed with a gun walked up, threatened them, and demanded money.

The man said the suspect robbed the other victim and then left the scene in a silver sedan driven by another man.

The man said the suspect knew the victim that left the scene before officers arrived. He also said the two had "been having problems over the past couple of days."

Pryor said investigators are working to locate the suspect.
