Winnsboro cop wanted for shooting wife spotted in sister's home

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, SC (WIS) - The Winnsboro Public Safety Officer wanted for the attempted murder of his wife has been spotted in Fairfield County, according to law enforcement officials.

Deputies say Michael Roseboro was seen in his sister's home on Thursday afternoon. The sister called 911 and told investigators that it looked like he had been in the woods for days.

Roseboro has been on the run since Sunday. Deputies say he shot his wife while on duty, and then fled the scene in a white Ford Crown Victoria.

The State Law Enforcement Division is searching for Roseboro in a wooded area on Highway 21 near Great Falls.

SLED, deputies searching Highway 21 near Great Falls for Roseboro, last seen running into the woods a few hours ago.

A warrant has been issued for Roseboro's arrest. He should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by the public.
