NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The North Charleston woman accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend will remain behind bars, after bond was denied to her.

Twenty-three-year-old Whitlee Richardine Jones is charged with the murder of 29-year-old Eric Lee.  North Charleston Police say she stabbed him after a domestic dispute inside their home along Warsaw Rd. in North Charleston early Friday morning.

According to a court affidavit, Jones and Lee were in the process of separating and Jones had invited two friends to help her pack her belongings.

One of the friends told police she saw Jones running out of the residence.  As the three drove away from the residence, Jones allegedly said "we need to go back.  I stabbed him and we need to go back and check on him."

Upon returning to the residence, Jones and one of the witnesses reportedly drove Lee to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
