CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Authorities have confirmed the man admitted to the hospital Wednesday night with a gunshot wound to his chin and leg was injured during a North Charleston robbery.
Major Jim Brady with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office said the 27-year-old victim told investigators he was shot during a robbery in the 2300 block of Elegans Drive around 8:30 p.m.
Brady said the victim was shot in the chin and leg and also suffered cuts to his head.
According to an incident report, the victim's cousin found him limping down Accabee Road so she picked him up and drove him to the Medical University of South Carolina.
The victim is expected to recover.
