Man accused of biting gas station clerk arrested at football game

RAW VIDEO: Robber bites convenience store clerk

MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) - A man accused of biting a gas station clerk during a robbery has been arrested.

According to Moncks Corner police, Michael Fennick was picked up Wednesday night at his son's football game.

In August, officers say he came into the Kangaroo on Highway 52 at Cypress Garden Road.

The clerk told police that the suspect first put a pack of gum on the counter and when the clerk opened the register, the suspect tried to grab money.

Authorities say the clerk was bitten when he tried to stop the robber.

Fennick is charged with strong armed robbery.

Lieutenant Michael Roach told Reporter Harve Jacobs Fennick called him at the police station a few weeks ago and told him he could not charge him with a crime since he did not actually steal any property.

Obviously, he was wrong.
