CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police have charged a former employee of Vendue Inn and Rooftop Grill with burglarizing the establishment last month.

Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said 29-year-old Bricken Pierre Brown entered the business office of the restaurant and bar on Oct. 21 between 3 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. and used a dolly to remove a safe.

Brown is charged with second-degree burglary and second-degree possession of marijuana, as Francis said he was found with 13 grams of marijuana at the time of his arrest late Wednesday.

Brown is being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center.
