NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -
Police have arrested one man and are looking for another after a shooting in North Charleston on Thursday.
North Charleston police spokesman Spencer Pryor said detectives had a difficult time investigating the shooting because of a lack of cooperation from the 22-year-old victim, but 21-year-old Travis West has been charged with attempted murder and armed robbery.
The 22-year-old victim was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his right arm.
Police say West and an unknown gunman attempted to rob the victim, even though an incident report states West told officers he was actually a victim as well.
The shooting happened in front of a store at the corner of Sumner Avenue and Attaway Street, according to a witness.
As officers arrived on scene, the victim's friends were in the process of taking him to the hospital, a report states.
Police are working to identify the gunman, Pryor added.
If you have any information regarding the shooting, call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
