Troopers seek public's help after fatal Beaufort Co. hit-and-run

BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is looking for a motorist who fled the scene after killing a pedestrian Wednesday in Beaufort County.

According to a release, the fatal incident happened on Dianah's Drive near Marshland Road around 10 p.m.

Beaufort County Deputy Coroner David Ott said the victim, a Hispanic man, was taken to Medical University of South Carolina for an autopsy.

The victim's identity has not been released as family members have not yet been notified.
