Salvation Army kicks off holidays with kettles, bell ringers

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Kettles and bell ringers set up on Friday for the first time this holiday season. You'll notice them around the Lowcountry.

The kick off was at Northwoods Mall in North Charleston.

"The money is going to help us with our Christmas program to make sure that children have food on the table, toys under the tree," said Maj. Tom Richardson with the Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army and Debi's Kids make sure Lowcountry children have a happy holiday.
