Charleston County Sheriff announces change in positions

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Sheriff Al Cannon announced changes on Friday afternoon involving two positions at the Charleston County Sheriff's Office.

Chief Deputy Mitch Lucas has been appointed acting assistant sheriff which was a position previously held by Andrene Coury-Smith.

Additionally, Major Ollie Pucket who was assigned to Executive Concerns was relieved of duty.

Cannon cited a need for a new direction in the change of the positions.
