JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - The James Island Fire Department is investigating an early morning fire that destroyed an abandoned home.
They are still gathering evidence, but fire officials have an idea as to what started the blaze on Monday.
They told our photographer on scene that when they got the fire under control and went inside, they found a small stove squatters had been using.
Neighbors told the fire department the house also caught fire a year ago.
The home is at the end of Roberts Road off of Sol Legare Road.
