DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

The St. George Police Department has released surveillance pictures of a man wanted for passing a counterfeit $450 check at a business in Dorchester County.

Officers responded to the Flying J Travel Plaza on 113 Motel Drive on Friday morning for a wanted subject.

Store employees said the suspect went into the business and wanted to cash in a $750 check.

An employee recognized the suspect from a loss prevention email warning stores to be on the lookout for the suspect.

When the employee went to the back to tell the manager, the suspect left the business.

The manager said the suspect entered the business the night before and cashed in a $450 check using another name.

If you have any information you are asked to call police or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
