N. Charleston man charged with King St. armed robbery

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police have charged a North Charleston man with a downtown armed robbery which happened last Tuesday.

Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said 51-year-old Anthony Brown robbed a victim at gunpoint near King and Huger streets on Nov. 13 around 10 p.m.

Francis said the victim wasn't hurt during the incident.

Brown is charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

He is being held in the Charleston County Detention Center.
