Cops: Man shot in leg on James Island

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) -

Police say a man was shot on James Island late Tuesday.

Charleston Police Department Public Information Officer Charles Francis said a man was shot in the leg around 9 p.m. in the It  in the 1400 block of Westway Drive, which is off Folly Road.

He was taken to MUSC with non-life threatening injuries, according to Francis.

Video from the scene shows officers searching for evidence in front of a home.

No details about the suspect have been released.
