Man reports weed and gun stolen during armed robbery

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police are searching for two suspects who stole drugs, money, and a gun from a man while he was eating Chinese food and smoking weed at home with a friend.

According to an incident report, the armed robbery occurred on Monday, Nov. 11 around 9:30 p.m. at the victim's home on King Street.

Police say the victim and his friend were watching television, eating Chinese food, and smoking marijuana when two masked suspects entered the home and demanded money and drugs.

After telling the suspects they did not have any money, one of the suspects hit the victim's friend in the face with his gun, cutting his right cheek, police say.

The report states the suspects then led the two victims around the home to find drugs and money. After taking $1800, 1.13 ounces of marijuana, and a gun, the suspects fled.

Officers say both victims changed their stories multiple times during the investigation.

The report states there were discrepancies between what the victims told a 911 dispatcher and what they told police. Both victims' accounts of the series of events were also not consistent.

The victim who was hit in the face with a gun by one of the suspects was taken to MUSC for his injuries.
