NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Red Cross is helping several families following four separate fires in the Lowcountry.

The latest fire happened in North Charleston Tuesday afternoon where a fire damaged a family's home on Eleanor Drive.

On Tuesday morning, a home on Robin Drive in Goose Creek was damaged by a fire, displacing a family of four.

Two families in Ladson are also being assisted after a fire destroyed one home on Garwood Drive Monday afternoon, while another blaze damaged a home on Dale Avenue Monday morning.

All families affected by the fires are being helped with temporary housing and funds to replace lost necessities.

In addition to the four fires, Red Cross officials also responded to the Monday afternoon fire at the Delta Oaks Apartment Complex in North Charleston which damaged 14 apartments. Emergency officials are assisting nine families in that fire.

According to Red Cross officials, the organization has seen a spike in home fire assistance in November. The Red Cross has helped 108 people since Nov. 1.
