Report: Man held up Walterboro gas station with stun gun

WALTERBORO, SC (WCSC) - Authorities are investigating after a Walterboro gas station was held up by a man armed with a stun gun.

According to a Walterboro Public Safety incident report, officers responded to the Shell station at 201 South Jeffires Boulevard a little after 9:30 p.m. on Monday night after receiving reports of an armed robbery.

When they got there, a clerk told officers a man wearing all black with his face covered came into the store "armed with a taser gun" and demanded money.

The clerk said she did not answer the robber, so he walked behind the counter, pulled the cash drawer out of the register, and ran off.

Officers said an unknown amount of money was stolen.  No one was injured.
