The sheriff's office says a 28-year-old man who was arrested for hitting a teen in the face and stealing his video game system has also been charged for receiving stolen goods after five stolen printers were found at a home in Orangeburg.
The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office has charged Adriel Morgan with strong arm robbery and five counts of receiving stolen goods.
The sheriff's office says investigators had been looking for Morgan after he allegedly approached a 16-year-old boy, hit him in the face and stole his Playstation Vita game system on Oct. 24.
"Officers attempted to locate Adriel Morgan at a Harper Street address on Tues., Nov. 20," Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said."The homeowner told the officers she had kicked Morgan out of her house several months ago. When officers searched the home for Morgan, they observed two printers still in the boxes in the living room and three more in a back bedroom closet."
Ravenell said that the printers were stolen from a WalMart this year.
"Any grown man that will hit a child in the face for a video game needs to be put in jail," Ravenell said. "This is truly a senseless act."
