Investigators have identified the two suspects accused in a Walterboro bank robbery and a chase where shots were fired.

The Walterboro Public Safety Department charged Ramone Drew with armed robbery, kidnapping, receiving stolen goods and weapon charges. Police also charged Dante Drew with armed robbery, kidnapping, failure to stop for blue lights and receiving stolen goods.

On Friday morning, authorities say the two suspects entered the Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union on 814 N. Jefferies Blvd and told everyone to drop to the floor and hand over money.

Police say the suspects took a bag of money and took off. A police report states that gunshots were fired during a brief vehicle pursuit.

Authorities say the State Law Enforcement Division and the FBI is investigating the incident since officers were involved in the shooting.
